All you need to do is look at the new water tower on the horizon, or the multi-million dollar highway projects that are underway or are soon to begin, and our full Main Street business district to get that feeling we are headed the right direction! We are very fortunate to have the smart, hard working and dedicated people we have running the show at City Hall. You don't have to look very far, for examples of communities that are not as fortunate as we are in there local Government. Be thankful for our Mayor Dave, Our City Council and their Staff: Dan, Dee, Randy, Larry and Jack. Simply the best! B.U.I.L.D. stands for "Businesses United In Louisville's Development" and it is an organization of the business owners of Louisville, NE. This group was originally founded by Lynn Berner-Smith as an outgrowth of the renovation to Main Street in summer of 2000. BUILD President, Terri Scholting announced at the June Meeting, (Click Here to read BUILD Meeting Minutes ) a special effort to bring new and fresh energy into the group beginning with the July Meeting entitled Re-Discover BUILD Next Tuesday Morning at the Senior Center we will have our Re-Discover BUILD meeting and all active members have been given the responsibility of bringing one new, or inactive member to this meeting. President Scholting has announced that Membership, and participation in the various exciting Action Committees will be opened for the first time to anyone that wants to participate, and contribute their ideas and energy. This is a major change, as previously Membership had been denied to anyone that was not a Louisville Business Owner. This is an exciting opportunity if you have an interest in playing a role in the Future of Louisville Economic Development. Here is the message from President Scholting: GOOD MORNING ALL!! Just a reminder that BUILD will be holding it's "REDISCOVER BUILD" Meeting on Tuesday, July 11, 2006 at 7:15AM for refreshments, meeting formally begins at 7:30AM. Location: Senior Center. Due to the Independence Day/Holiday this meeting is a week later than we normally meet. Be sure to remember to bring along either a member who has not attended a meeting for a while or a person who may be interested in joining our group. It can be anyone! Each person is being "challenged" to bring at least one person/guest. C'mon folks! Help us out here! We really need everyone to participate!
