In time for the Main Street Summer visitors
New picnic tables
They were donated by Papillion Sanitation and are made of recycled materials.
The shelter and picnic tables are between Main and Walnut on 3rd Street by the playground and splash pad.
The splash pad is also now open for business!! Here are a couple of pictures from last year, but we have since added a shelter on the north edge with picnic tables (donated by Papillion Sanitation)!! There is a valve on the west side of the splash pad so if a resident comes and it’s not turned on, go ahead and help yourself. Please shut it off when you’re done, unless there are other kids there cooling off. Enjoy!
The public restrooms behind city hall are now open! The women’s is even complete with diaper changing station.
Louisville Girl Scout Troop 20564 won Girl Scouts Spirit of Nebraska’s “Bling Your Booth” Contest!
Missoula Children’s Theatre Auditions at the Lofte
Manley, NE [May 20, 2015] - Ready or not, here they come! It’s time for the summer children’s theater event at the Lofte Community Theatre in Manley. In cooperation with the Missoula Children’s Theatre, the Lofte will soon be holding auditions for this year’s production of “Sleeping Beauty." Rest assured, there are several parts available for both boys and girls. Auditions take place at the Lofte on Monday morning, June 8 beginning at 10am. Please arrive by 9:45 to allow time for registration. Children who will be entering first grade through the seventh grade are eligible. There are parts for approximately 60 children as well as opportunities for Assistant Directors and Light Booth operators. The cast list will be announced at noon, immediately following the audition process. While not all actors are required for all rehearsal times, all children should have a clear schedule June 8-12, 10am-2:30pm. There will be two public performances on Saturday, June 13, 3pm & 6pm. Tickets are free for all Lofte season ticket holders. Adult tickets are $10 and children are $8. This is an amazing experience for the kids and the Lofte is proud to be able to host it. Special thanks goes out to Pinnacle Bank in Louisville and Plattsmouth State Bank for their sponsorship. Those with questions may contact Anne Pope at LoftePR@Lofte.com
Bugs to Invade Louisville!!
Join us this year as we meet up in Louisville, Nebraska for the 2015 OVWC Show and Shine.
This small town is a short and easy drive from Omaha and features a wonderful small town Main Street.
We will pack Main Street with dozens of Volkswagens, whether they be bone stock from the factory
or complete custom creations, from air cooled to water cooled, all Volkswagens are welcome.
There are a number of family owned restaurants and ice cream parlors lining the street, so going hungry will not be a problem.
The atmosphere will be as relaxed as the years past, just in a new more scenic setting.
We hope to see you all there and we will post any new information here when it arrives.
