Busted Mutton
No More Wooley Bully
In 1996 a sheep named "Dolly
" started a world wide effort to develop a more productive kind of
sheep. Japan has invested millions trying to perfect a wool polyester
blend. A facility in Fremont Minnesota has staked it's future on an
Omega Rich Lamb Chop, and Revlon is close to identifying the hair (fur)
curling gene. So much is at stake.
The unfortunate biproduct of such intensive genetic engineering is
Bad Baaaaaaa Attitude...
Sheep as a
apecies are becoming increasingly hostile and short tempered.
Scientists have put forward a variety of theories, but still the
nipping and biting of the researcher's bottoms remains a pain in the
butt.
A Nobel blue
ribbon think tank task force received a 20 million FDCA grant to
resolve the furry problem. After 10 years, the grant money was almost
gone. They had about $68 bucks left so they turned to Cass County
Nebraska, and the Cass County Fair.
This would
eventually become a Cass County tradition, a great celebration of man's
ingenuity over the lowly Beast, and a demonstation of effective use of
Federal Grant Money awarded to the lowest Bidder.
