Piano Christmas concert
Fans of piano music have the opportunity to hear some wonderful Christmas Music by Dr. Wm Schlichtemeier, who grew up in rural Cass County north of Nehawka.
Dr. Schlichtemeier, a retired eye surgeon, started playing the piano at age 4 and studied with several teachers in Cass County. In junior high he began studying in Omaha
And at college and all through medical school.
He has been collecting arrangements of the seasonal music for decades and says that some of them are just too good to leave in the piano bench.
Each year he has been rotating some newer tunes in and older ones out. So even if you’ve been to hear it before, there some new ones you haven’t heard.
These hour long, free concerts are Friday December 12 at 7 pm and Tuesday, December 16 at 10:30 am at Christ Community Church just south of the big green Schwab building in south Old Mill about I-680 and West Dodge road
Along the access road west of I-680 in Omaha.
Come along and celebrate the joy of Christmas.
