Update on the lights: Joel got go ahead from BUILD, starting to tear down old lights from the buildings on Main street; new lights are ordered and to be shipped this week.
After old lights are down Joel hopes to start installing brackets on building for new lighting the week of Oct 13th. Hope to start putting new lights the week of Oct 20th. They might work during the day or even after business hours - do not be alarmed if you see them on the roofs late or on the weekends.

Phys. Clinic - Nov 1st is a Flu Shot Clinic, come get your shot for the flu season.

Jeffs - October coupon book will be available next week, do not forget to pick up one when you get your groceries (its free). Halloween candy is coming in! Holiday special orders are available - like crown rib roast, or a holiday beef roast, turkey, etc. Just tell Jeff what you need/want and he will get it for you!

Speaking of Halloween - Feathers has got all Halloween stuff lined up! Coop-de-Ville got a Go Big Red section, new jewelry, purses, hand painted wine and martini glasses :)

City of Louisville - Dee is busy its the end of fiscal year, minutes of Sept 24th are here . Planning Commitee discussed a new plot at Timber Ridge subdivision (other side of hwy 50) - in addition to large lots there is going to be smaller lots in the nearest future.

Hardware store is putting up Halloween stuff on the shelves Oct 1st, to my question "are snow shovels in?" Larry said he hates even think about snow yet. and "NO" no snow shovels are not in yet.

Kevin at NAPA - recommends to winterrize your summer equipment and get ready to put it into storage. Stabil, Heet, fogging oil ect. is available at our local NAPA store AND you can always count on excellent  free advice!

Hunker Down
Think Globally - Hide Locally

What a Mess!

I remember thinking that the world was in the pooper my last year in High School

Man, Those were the Good Old Days!

What we are missing is a good case of Bird Flu for the news to get any stranger. Then of course, we have that bizarre Reality TV Series, called "the Elections

It's starting to get a little chilly in the evening, the leaves are starting to change.

Larry has got the snow shovels on order, and the Road Maint folks are concerned about the increasing cost of Road Salt.

Guess we are gonna have to Hunker Down

The Good News, is the Harvest looks great, and it is gonna dry up enough to get some of that gold out of the fields.

Our world, kinda turns on the Harvest

In a great year, the local economy glows, and we all feel the warmth.

We have so much more control over our world, then folks in the larger Cities.

I don't have to worry about tainted beef or milk cause I know Jeff and Ken, or  my savings cause I know Andy and Alan. Strong, honest friends and neighbors are running the show down here.

Hey, Life really is Better Here!

All I really worry about, is Missouri!

#4 Ranked, Mizzou is Headed to Lincoln Saturday 8PM
