Parent Teacher Organization Board Meeting
The PTO Board has scheduled a meeting for Tuesday, OCTOBER 2 @ 6PM.

They plan on meeting by the Elementary Office and moving to the Elementary Library.

They will be discussing what to serve and planning for the Teachers/Administration evening meals during the Parent/Teacher Conferences, coming up in a few weeks.

They will need assistance from parents to provide a side dish or dessert, or if available to help serve if needed.

Please consider helping with this event! It will be a great opportunity to meet teachers from K-12 and the Administration.

We have a few other items on the agenda for the meeting, including our first open forum titled 'FAMILY TALK'. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions, please contact one of our board members, or just stop by for the meeting next Tuesday October 2nd.

Editorial:
First Off, I think we need to show our appreciation to OUR Louisville Volunteer Fire Fighters as the best way for Louisville to honor the memory of George Howard, (Click Here:) Mr. Howard has shown us the face of heroism, for the exact same reasons that our volunteers fight for their neighbors. I think Mr. Howard would agree.

It occurred to me the other day that everything happens for a reason, and even the most painful and devastating things have a blessing attached. I shudder to think that it takes 7 thousand lost lives to get us all to feel like Americans again and to remind us that we are all on the same team, but maybe it is so.
Whatever the answer, I can't remember such a GENUINE spirit of good will so freely given by so many.

I think we have got what it takes to get through this, and Good Ol' Osama and the boys have really underestimated this country. Let's face it, he has no frame of reference.
When you live out your life in a world where you hate and fear everybody, how can you imagine a world where everyone cares for and supports each other. That, more than anything, will be his undo-ing!
