Santa Visits Louisville!
Sat. Dec 11, 2004 - Christmas for the Generations

Hey! What a great day! We were very lucky with the weather, very Christmasy but sunny and not too windy. Linda Allen was recognized as the moving force behind the elementary Christmas tree. Hot chocolate provided by Ash Grove Cement Co. was a welcome treat on a nippy morning.

Santa had a good turnout, over 50 children of all ages snuggled with Santa and talked of Christmas wishes. The carolers were in fine voice up and down Main Street, the steeple of the Methodist Church rang forth holiday tunes.

Many children had a good time going from business to business saying "Merry Christmas" to claim a chocolate goody. Blake's Floral had a good turnout for their Children's Shopping Day where parents could rest in the Soda Fountain while their children shopped for gifts in Blake's Floral for inexpensive gifts for parents and grandparents. the gifts were then gift wrapped at no charge, and the little ones had a real surprise to put under the tree! Great idea!
