2012 INDIAN HILLS HOME OWNERS ASSOCIATION MEETING:
THE MEETING WAS HELD AT THE RESIDENCE OF TODD AND SARAH JOYCE AT APRIL 25TH 2012 AT 7 PM. PRESIDENT, JOHN HARRINGTON CALLED THE MEETING TO ORDER. HE THANKED EVERYONE FOR COMING. HE ESPECIALLY THANKED, VICE PRESIDENT ROGER TIMER FOR CREATING I.H.H.I. QUARTERLY NEWS LETTER AND FOR POSTING INFORMATION AT THE MAIL BOXES ABOUT THIS MEETING.
EVERYONE PRESENT INTRODUCED THEMSELVES.
ROGER HAD THE AGENDA SO HE PROCEEDED WITH THE 3 ITEMS ON HIS LIST.
#1:  HE EXPLAINED THAT THE IHHOMES INC BOARD WOULD LIKE VOLUNTEERS FOR A ROAD COMMITTEE. AFTER DISCUSSION OF VARIOUS PROBLEMS WITH OUR ROADS, NOT THE LEAST OF WHICH, WHEN IT RAINS, IS THE DELUGE OF WATER THAT RUNS DOWN UNTO PROPERTY ON THE NORTH SIDE OF QUAIL RIDGE RD. IT WAS DECIDED THAT THERE SHOULD BE 5 PEOPLE ON THE BOARD WITH EACH ROAD BEING REPRESENTED. VOLUNTEERS FROM QUAIL RIDGE RD. ARE, TODD JOYCE, JIM STEWART AND RON NEWINGHAM . JAMES THIELE, FROM OAKMONT DR. VOLUNTEERED. IT WAS DECIDED TO ASK BILL HAY, FROM OAKMONT DR. IF HE COULD BE ON THE ROAD COMMITTEE. TODD JOYCE OFFERED TO ASK BILL. IT WAS ALSO DETERMINED THAT THE BOARD WOULD APPROVE DECISIONS BY THE ROAD COMMITTEE, AT LEAST TO START WITH.
#2: THE FINANCIAL STATUS OF THE ASSOCIATION: ANNALISA BERENS, OUR TREASURER, SAID THAT OF THE 34 LOTS, ABOUT 29 PEOPLE USUALLY PAY, AND THAT ANNUAL DUES ARE AT $200 PER YEAR PER LOT. THAT SHOULD BE ENOUGH TO GET SOME ROAD WORK DONE. SHE WAS NOT SURE OF OUR BALANCE AT THIS TIME. ALSO, IT WAS DECIDED TO GIVE NON-PAYING PEOPLE 90 DAYS PAST DUE BEFORE STARTING THE LIEN PROCESS.
#3: IS ANYONE INTERESTED IN SOME SOCIAL ACTIVITIES FOR THE HOMEOWNERS? A COMBINED RUMMAGE WAS 1 SUGGESTION. TODD JOYCE STATED HE WAS NOT AY ALL IN FAVOR OF ANYTHING THAT WOULD CREATE A LOT OF TRAFFIC. SILENCE FOLLOWED, SO IT SEEMS NO ONE IS IN FAVOR OF A RUMMAGE SALE AT THIS TIME.
THE TOPIC OF A LARGER COVERED INFORMATION BOARD BY THE MAIL BOXES WAS DISCUSSED. IT WAS DECIDED THAT IT WAS A GRAND IDEA. JUDY ROACH ASKED IF SHE SHOULD ASK THE STUDENTS IN SHOP CLASS IN LOUISVILLE TO BUILD ONE. THAT SUGGESTION RECEIVED MAJORITY APPROVAL.
AFTER THANKING TODD AND SARAH JOYCE FOR THEIR HOSPITALITY THE MEETING WAS ADJORNED.
SUBMITTED BY SECRETARY, CORA DUIN
(NOTIFY ME OF ANY MISTAKES, PLEASE)
