baseball-copple

The program is the involvement with Chevrolet Youth Baseball (CYB)  the outline is Chevrolet partners w/local Dealers who in return sponsor a local Youth Baseball League.  Chevrolet is already a sponsor of  Major League Baseball and this is an extension of the sponsorship down into the lower levels of the baseball  program.

We, Copple Chevrolet, have chosen to participate/sponsor the Louisville Lions Baseball/Softball League this year.  With that sponsorship the League receives, and has received at the coaches meeting on 3/30/11, 10 new ball buckets w/cushioned sitting lid, 10 new equipment athletic bags, 2 dugout equipment managers (dugout buddies) and 150 really cool T-Shirts, of which, we, Copples chose to purchase an additional 70 shirts, so that every child in the league, 220 total, got one!  A $500.00 donation check from Chevrolet will be awarded this month April 23rd at the U-16 tournament, an the league has been given the chance to participate in a fundraiser event as well!  The fundraiser event is HUGE and is as follows, the club receives 2000 raffle tickets from Chevrolet and Us, to sell at $5.00 each in which the club keeps 100% of the proceeds.  The raffle ticket entitles the purchaser the chance to win a brand new Chevrolet Equinox or Chevrolet Cruze!  One of those vehicle will be given away in the South Central Region of Chevrolet Sales Zoning, which encompasses several Midwest/Southern states.  On the local level one participant will win a $1000 entertainment package, consisting of a Flat Screen TV and Blue Ray player system, this will be given away to someone in the local area marketing group which consist of 13 participating dealers in the Omaha Metro Area.  So the Louisville Club has a chance to raise up to $10,000 dollars to put towards a, now needed, ball field at the Ash Grove site, since they will be loosing the school field to play on!  I have also received word from several in the ball organization that there might be a chance at a matching grant to cover 100% of whatever they can raise with their raffle tickets sales!  We, Copple's, and myself as a community member with kids in the school system, are very excited about this AWESOME opportunity to give to, and back to the community.  I personally feel that Chevrolet and Copple's is really "stepping up to the plate" on this program/sponsorship!  Along with all these great things being offered, there is still one more item:  The league/parents will have an opportunity to register the participating children to attend a baseball training clinic put on by the Cal Ripken training staff, which is nation wide coaching/training staff founded and started by Hall of Famer and Major League Baseball star, Cal Ripken.  Details on this will follow later in the season.  So with all that said there will be signage hung at the Ash Grove Ball Field and posters up around town.  People can buy their raffle tickets from Louisville Ball Team Members, Coaches or Parents and then bring them into the Dealership to get registered.  They can also buy tickets at the Dealership if they are in for Sales or Service!  Sales started for this 3/31/11 and will continue through 07/15/11.

We also just received notice of another program starting which is separate from but can be tied to the Chevrolet Youth Baseball Program.  That program is  "Diamonds and Dreams" sponsored by Chevrolet, Major League Baseball, Scotts Lawn Care products and Rawlings athletic gear!  It celebrates all of the above companies involvement with MLB as well as Chevrolet's 100th Anniversary as a Company.  That program will be giving away 100 prizes from random entries that include 20 Youth Ball Field make over, 60 youth equipment packages and 20 baseball clinics to celebrate Chevrolet's 100th Birthday.  The grand prize for this promotion will be 4 trips for 4 to the MLB All-Star Game in Phoenix this year, 2011, where 1 of the 4 trip winners will be drawn to win his or her choice of a select Chevrolet car or crossover!  Parents, Coaches, Communalities and players can register their clubs for entry for this cool program at www.chevybaseball.com .  That program kicked off 3/31/11 and will only run through 5/31/11.  How's all that for a mouth full of information!
