Oldest Cottonwood Tree in the Area Broke

Today, May 23, 2007, Louisville residents woke up to something unexpected (that Gordman's commercial could never persuaded me "unexpected" stuff is any good!): one of the biggest branches of the oldest cottonwood tree in the area behind Napa broke and blocked the creek.

Dan Henry, Randy Payne and the rest of the City Crew are still working on removing the branch from creek bed, the future of the tree is unknown but looking at the damage one might suppose it will have to be removed entirely.
