CITY OF LOUISVILLE

BOARD OF TRUSTEES

A regular meeting of the Board of Trustees of the City of Louisville was held on Wednesday, October 25, 2000 at 7:00 p.m., at the City Offices. Present were: Chairman McManis; Trustees: Jim McClun, Frank Evans, Wayne Chriswisser, Kevin Bender; others present: Attorney Morten; several guests.

The convened meeting was open to the public.

Motion by Bender, seconded by McClun to enter executive session at 7:01 pm for discussion of communications and personnel; ayes: Evans, Chriswisser, Bender, McClun, McManis; motion carried. Motion by Evans, seconded by Chriswisser to exit executive session at 7:35 pm; ayes: Evans, Chriswisser, Bender, McClun, McManis; motion carried. Motion by Bender, seconded by Evans to return to normal session at 7:39; ayes: Evans, Chriswisser, Bender, McClun, McManis; motion carried.

Motion by Bender, seconded by Evans to terminate an employee effective immediately as city maintenance upon advice of the three city officials; ayes: Evans, Bender; nay: McManis, Chriswisser, McClun; motion failed. 

Motion by Chriswisser, seconded by Evans to suspend the employee for 5 days without pay due to language and disrespect. Discussion. Evans removed his second; therefore the motion died for a lack of a second.

McManis motioned to table action until November 13, 2000 and wait for new board; no second; motion died. 

Motion by Chriswisser, seconded by McClun to adjourn at 8:00 pm; ayes: Evans, Chriswisser, McClun, McManis; absent: Bender; motion carried.
