A special meeting of the City Council of the City of Louisville was held on Wednesday, January 8, 2003 at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall. Present were Mayor Dan Henry, council members Dave Pankonin, Clete Petrzilka and Joe Smisek. Also present were City attorney Roger Johnson and John Alan Mueller. The purpose of this special meeting was to fill the City Council vacancy created by the absence of a candidate in the west ward, which term expires December 2006.
Notice of the special meeting was given in advance thereof by publication in the Plattsmouth Journal and by posting in three (3) public places as shown by the certificate attached to these minutes. Notice was simultaneously given to all council members. All proceedings thereafter were taken while the convened meeting was open to the public.
Mayor Henry called the special meeting to order. Mayor Henry nominated John Alan Mueller to fill the vacancy on the City Council. Petrzilka moves, Smisek seconds to accept the nomination of Mueller to fill the vacancy created by the absence of a candidate in the west ward for the full term, until December 2006. Ayes – 3, nays – none. Motion carries. Mueller then took the Oath of Office.
Pankonin moves, Petrzilka seconds to adjourn the special meeting. Ayes – 4, nays – none. Motion carried.
