Nebraska Department of Roads will hold a public information meeting regarding Project DPS-TCSP-66-7(112), known as Louisville South Bypass.

The project involves a study of routing Nebraska Highway 66 around the south side of Louisville. The proposed bypass would be a two-lane highway.

One new variation of proposed alignments for the bypass will be presented at the public meeting.

Personnel from the Department of Roads will be available to visit one-on-one about the project. Displays will be available for public review, and NDOR personnel will receive comments and questions. No formal presentation is planned.

Private property must be acquired to construct the bypass. Control of access to the highway would be required. The project may impact wetlands and mitigation may be required. Where possible, the Department of Roads will provide an accessible meeting facility for disabled people. Appropriate provisions for people who are hearing and visually challenged will be made if the department is notified by April 14, 2003. Notification should be submitted to Public Hearings Officer, Department of Roads, P.O. Box 94759. Lincoln, Nebraska 68509-4759, voice telephone (402) 479-4871. TDD telephone is (402) 479-3634.

Preliminary plans developed by the Nebraska Department of Roads are available for review in the Planning and Project Development Division, 1400 Highway 2, in Lincoln.
