It’s Time for School Sports Physicals!
Dear
Parents,
It’s
time again for School Sports Physicals but there is something you should
be aware of. There is an
epidemic in this country affecting Middle School and High School
athletes. It is rarely talked about but you see the effects of it every
time a new sports season begins. It
is not a virus, bacteria or fungus.
It does not discriminate between girls or boys.
It affects athletes from all sports regardless of physical demand
or intensity and the results of this epidemic can follow a person for
the rest of his life.
The
epidemic is Sports Injuries.
The cause is faulty structural biomechanics and is what causes us
to grow older suffering with the “football knee”, “trick elbow”
and “creaky shoulders.” The
reason it is an epidemic is that the cause of these problems are not
being detected in the school sports physicals. There are special
programs available to the elite professional athlete that detects the
circumstances that can lead to injuries and when they are, professional
sports teams are able to protect their investment by preventing the
injury before it occurs.
Today’s
modern medical technology has very little to offer until the injury has
been sustained. At that
point, our medical technology is top in the world at repairing torn
ligaments, cartilage, ruptured muscles and discs.
The problem is that you have to get injured to benefit from the
technology.
There
is a new movement in this country that is taking this information where
it is needed most: The local Middle School and High School.
This
void in health care and sports medicine has been identified and
rectified. There is a new
system of predicting who is at risk for a sports injury developed out of
a desire to protect our kids from unnecessary knee injuries, shin
splints, ankle sprains and muscle pulls.
Since
portions of this system are required for the highest paid professional
athletes in order for them to even begin a weighted workout, isn’t it
about time we offer the same protection for our kids?
This
program looks at the human frame as an architectural structure. If there is imbalance in the structure it breaks down
prematurely. Add the stress
of athletic activity and you have all the ingredients necessary for an
injury.
The Structural Management
Program™
featuring the Structural
Fingerprint Exam™ is designed to detect, correct and support
the architectural imbalances of the body.
The result is improved balance, muscle flexibility and joint
mobility which also translates into improved athletic performance and
reduced injuries.
“When
I first started in the Structural Management Program™, I was unable to
run track because of severe calf cramps and hip pain that developed
during my senior football season. Within
a couple of weeks I was able to start training and by the end of 8
weeks, I was competing in the State Track Meet.
I continued using
the
system during my first year of college football and track and it has
helped me continue to improve my performance but most of all, I have
been injury free this year. This system makes total sense.
Robert F., Bellevue NE
I
played club level volleyball and basketball during junior and senior
high and was constantly spraining my ankle.
The Structural Management Program™ identified what was causing
this recurrent problem and now I have just finished my senior year and
did not have one ankle sprain and I don’t even have to wear ankle
supports anymore. I am now
going to college on a Volleyball scholarship because I was able to
perform at my potential because I wasn’t injured this year.

If
avoiding a season ending injury is important to you, and you want to
perform at your best, you owe it to yourself to see if there are any
structural imbalances that are contributing to the premature break down
of your body.

season ever.
